Ryder Cup Success

4/10/2018

Not only did Europe beat the USA in the Ryder Cup but the Charity Golf Day beat last year’s total and raised a fantastic £12.000.

Played on the first day of the Ryder Cup at Lytham green Drive GC, the weather was good, the course was looking at it’s best and with 33 teams playing, another record, it was all in all a fantastic day.

The competition was a Texas Scramble and there were prizes for the overall winner, runners up, nearest the wobbly line etc.

The Kingsland & RJ Trophy, presented by Mark Dixon Director, Kingsland Drinks, was won by a team from Kingsland, Tony Faulkner, Nick Fortune, Dan Johnson and Paul Bill. Well done lads.

As it was the Ryder Cup we encouraged teams to have team names and team outfits reflecting the Ryder Cup theme.

There were some very enterprising names and “Ryder Cock Horse” was chosen as the best, but we think the Judges were “cautious” in their choice.

The best dressed team were undoubtedly “The Ryder Stone Cowboys” followed by the “Wildcard Whackers” and you can see from the pictures why they were both chosen

There were 129 for dinner and the MC for the evening was Janet Walker who also did the auction.
Janet is one of our clients at The Guildhall and if she ever decides to pack in the day- job she certainly has another career to fall back on. Many thanks Janet

Chris Swinton of Francis House Children’s Hospice was extremely pleased with the whole day and the fantastic amount raised and thanked everyone for their support and generosity “It will be of tremendous benefit to the children”

We at RJFacilities together with Kingsland Drinks are really pleased to be part of this fund raising and the whole day was a brilliant success with thanks to all who contributed in whatever way.
