Congratulations Lostock Hall Girls Football Team!

“R&J” congratulate Lostock Hall Girls Football Team on their recent success at the 6 a side football tournament.
 
It was a very wet July morning, all 19 girls were keen to play football, so we were able to enter 2 teams for the 6 a-side competition. Both teams competed well throughout, working together, developing confidence and smiling despite the weather. After the league games, one Lostock Hall team topped the league and went straight into the semi-final. The girls were very nervous, having lost the previous two tournaments at the semi-final stage, but at last got through to the final!!
 
A large crowd gathered to watch the girls, a very tense match, but scoring 3 second half goals to finally win their first piece of silverware, hopefully the first of many!!
